Terezin - Czech Republic The imaged desk is stated to be the original furniture used by Commandant Heinrich Jockel, although one wonders how it has survived all these years and a vicious flood in 2002. There is no security at this office - one can just walk in and sit at the desk. An astoundingly cruel man, it is stated that he used to take packages for the prisoners and grind them up en toto including the food, sewing needles, pencils and whatever - and then feed this to the prisoners. He was executed for war crimes in 1946.
