The Statues of the Charles Bridge's by siffer

Prague - Czech Republic, Hlavni Mesto Praha 30 statues line the Charles Bridge, the first placed in 1683 and the remainder in the 17 and 18 centuries by the Catholic rulers of Prague. The Virgin and Child pictured here is one of the largest. Others include ancient saints and Czech saints, as well as some dominant religious leaders. Note the cross held by the baby Jesus - the letters are said to be made of pure gold, a fine for a Jew who ridiculed the cross in mixed company.
