Member opinion: Hotel 81 Chain has 15 hotels in Singapore. I stayed in one of their hotels in Geylang. Geylang is east of the centre on the way to the airport. It is a lively part of the city with lots of local restaurants The room was adaquate, but very small. It had a television, hairdryer, mini fridge, coffee and tea-making facilities. Breakfast is not included but a pot of instant noodles is provided every day. Just add hot water and breakfast is ready. The streets in Geylang are called lorongs and are numbered 1 to 42 eastward. All lorongs look alike, the numbering is a bit strange. The address of our hotel was: 20 Lorong 16, which means that the house number is 16 and the number of the lorong is 20.
