Vibrant university city in the west of Ireland that sits somewhere between the cosmopolitan European and the Ancient Celt. The people there seem to be talking, walking and talking some more.

Favourite spots:
Eyre Square in the centre, here you can find a place to stay, get an internet connection, hang out among the walkers and talkers.

What's really great:
The remoteness from the urbanity of English cities

Sights:
Take the road out to Connemara, it goes along the coast to the very eastern tip of the coast. It's a rugged part of the country

Accommodations:
Mrs Sullivan's
No 63 bohomore
Just off Eyre Square

Other recommendations:
Northwards is County Mayo, very beautiful.
Southwards is County Clare, also very beautiful
