ps- shall have a good look at your site soon and report back !
Thank you for your comments about my site, I'm glad you are enjoying it! I would be happy to tell you a bit about St. Francis:
Francis was born in Assisi, Italy in 1182, to a rich merchant family. He was friendly and popular, and enjoyed living a good life, until he had a dream in which God told him give up his wealth and comfort.
This angered his family and friends, and they rejected him. He spent more time in prayer and contemplation. Eventually he gave up everything, and devoted himself to a very simple life, but also a life of action, in which he spoke out about the injustice he saw around him, and sought ways to help change things.
Francis is famous for his connection to nature, his love of all creatures, and his desire to create peace among them. His goodness and sincerity attracted many followers.
Because of his example, Assisi has become a center of the world peace movement, a place for dialog and understanding between different religions and cultures.
I just wanted to let you know that I have a friend who is studying Arabic, and if you write an article about your travel and send it to me, she will translate it into English for you.
Thank you so much for your kind words in my guestbook! Your comment that "Liz is Everywhere!" made me smile. Please tell me if there is anything I can do to help you with your English, and aid you in writing reports about all the interesting places you have visited. It sounds like you have a lot to share!
