Located 495 km from Cape Town just off the N7 when heading towards Namibia, the Namaqua National Park comes alive at springtime when all the wilderness flowers are in bloom. From the side of the road they can be seen and it is said that there are over 35,000 different species, and the aroma they produce leaves the air smelling sweet. It is also possible to see some wildlife like steenbok, Klipspringer, porcupines, jackals and leopards even though I didn’t see any.
