Many people think that Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) just encompasses the majestic Table Mountain but it stretches from Signal Hill in the north to Cape Point and peninsula in the south.
The Park has rugged coastline, some with beach fronts and cliffs. It has a wealth of flora and fauna with rich colours amongst the green shrubs. There are no big animals here, but you can find baboons, deer etc. The area is truly beautiful, whether it’s taking the cable car up Table Mountain or visiting the Cape Point, it is a chance to immerse ones self into nature. There are many hikes ranging from 30 minutes to 4/5 hours; one of the nice walks is to head down from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope, which is approximately 1.5 hours return. Cut out from the rock face as well as the use of a boardwalk it is very enjoyable. If you’re on a tour the bus usually drops you off at the top and then picks you up from the bottom car park then the walk is only 45minutes. [edit text][editors]
