We intend to cross the Andes over Paso de San Francisco. From Tinogasta (Arg.) to Copiapo (Chile) itīs about 540 km. Does anybody know something about road conditions (in January)? Is it possible to do that trip in one day with a mini-bus, and is there time left for some stops to do sightseeing e.g.?
Hi, iīm from argentina and iīm trying to help you. you can go to chile from all the crosses of argentina. the thing is you want to do almost 500 kkm in one day and thatīs impossible. first of all, rodes are not in good condition some places and you are going through mountains rodes so they are hard to drive. but there busses that can take you where you want to go.
