Saint Lucia is a small lush, green, volcanic, mountainous island, with the most picturesque beaches you’ve ever imagined.
Soufriere is the second and oldest town in St Lucia and is located in the southern region close to the island's most famous landmark – Les Pitons. Grand Piton and Petit Piton, two dormant volcanoes that are represented on the country’s flag and rise to about 2,000 feet from sea level.
They have the only drive-in volcano in the world - the Sulphur Springs; where you can hear a story of one of the guides who was demonstrating how sound the area was by jumping up and down; when the ground gave away and he was immersed. You can also relax in one of the pools and feel the warm soothing water run over your body. The only thing is, it smells, a perfect blend of rotten eggs. Also not too far away is the Diamonds Falls that is definitely worth a visit. [edit text][editors]
