Hi GLOBO members,

since today there is an improved GLOBOsapiens.net version online. The image upload engine has been improved to make it even more easy for you to publish your articles, travel logs and photo albums.

The required minimum width for a picture has been reduced to 50 pixel. All pictures between 600 and 50 pixel will be automaticly possitioned in the middle or will be set to this pixel width. Bigger pictures are croped a better way than before and everything with a higher speed than before!!

This changes take effect on:

- user images

- photo album cover images

- report images

- travel log images

Happy sharing!

Andy

Wow, I just used the new upload engine and it went smoothly even with my irregularly shapred image! Seems like another two thumbs up! :)

WOW... new function too for displaying images based on the number of photo points earned! Andy, you have been brainstorming, haven't you??! Keep it up and going!!

well, yeah. I was first not sure if this is a thing which can be technicaly done. Now I found a way and this seems to work! The new GLOBOsapiens.net members seem to have some trouble getting started. So why not credit the active members while the passive members "save" bandwidth. Bandwidth is hitting about 1GB a day - and increasing. Hopefully a lot of members will realise that a GLOBOplus account will help to pay for bandwidht, this is also a reason why those payed accounts are now having the 600px wide pictures.

Cheers,

Andy
