I would like to add my thoughts to that topic. I do see GLOBO in comparison to facebook like a small but fine group of travelers and selected travel info while facebook is extremely mainstream. It is like going to a charming italian coffee rather than going to starbucks and I would like to keep it that way. Why putting oneself into the middle of a huge croud, while having the chance to "travel" with a small group of friends? Right now there are no plans to integrate into any other community.
It's interesting discussion. While i myself am also a facebook member, I tend to on Andy's side that integrating Globo into the mainsteam is not a good idea.
If talking about applications most people like to use on facebook, I see that it started from sending gifts when i first joined 1.5 years ago to nowadays more on quiz and games.
If talking about setting up a Globo group on facebook, i believe it do help promoting Globo to attract new members and people visiting this site, the original one. But over time, groups die when there are no interesting discussions or events (e.g. get together activities) in the group. This site already got a platform for discussions. If Globo is not thinking about doing some kind of travel talks, or gathering activities for members, I dont see a need to go on other websites.
For just sharing your travel articles, you can put up a link on facebook, or even your web address at Globo in your facebook profile information.

One final comment from me on this subject. I have been looking at a lot of sites in the last few days and my previous remarks may have been a little harsh, if so I apologise but I am still of the opinion that Globo is the best run and has the widest options of any site have visited, (I am a member of several). Keep up the excellent work Andy and the Team. Regards to all, Tony.
Why not have a simple app on Facebook we can add that would also advertise what we do here? I use a Facebook app that fires off Twitter updates, and another that sends me notes about posts on my favourite Canadian web portal.
I, for one, don't have unlimited time in my day and would prefer not to have to upload photos on different websites.
As far as I see it, it would potentially advertise Globo to some of the 200 million (give or take) people using Facebook. I do see Krys' point about where does it stop? My opinion on that would be wherever a site grows exponentially and reaches a similar demographic, as Facebook has done, an app could be written. Of course, I'm sure Andy is a busy guy, but if he wants to promote this site, then what's better than marketign to a couple hundred million worldwide?
