I agree with Eire. The new descriptions do make me think a little more about the photographs before I finally decide on the rating, and I am leaning towards smaller number of stars. Luckily, the ratings still give members plenty room to manoeuvre with testing their they taste. It may in fact mean that eventually less photos will get top stars, and there might be some disappointed members, but I guess the rating situation was getting a little out of hand :). I think the more descriptive definitions of the stars are much less ambiguous, for now I really like them.

I'm glad I made some sort of impression. A rare thing for me...
I think basically that people felt that every shot HAD to be rated as something. That basically means that a one star rating is seen as something bad. There are hotels (using the same star rating) all over the world who would kill (some of them literally) for a one star rating. I just feel that there should be more room for pics of a truelly incredible quality to make it to the front. Good for Globo, not so bad for the regulars when they undrstand it.
