Krumlov House Hostel has a laid back attitude to it. There is a living room and a full kitchen. Fellow backpackers sometimes hang around the living room to read a book or watch dvds at night. The owners are an Australian couple so English speakers feel really at ease asking all sorts of questions about the town. You'll see the owners often in the kitchen and living room. On arrival they'll give a detailed intro (and i mean detailed) about the town's sights, eats and nightlife. It's a lot to take in but the provided brochure really helps on your orientation of the town - bring it along when you go out!
The bus depot is under 10 mins to the hostel on foot. The train station's far so the bus is the prefered mode of transport from/to Prague or Ceske Budejovice (it's cheaper too, but buy a ticket to secure a seat!).
