Tallinn travelogue picture
I only went to one area of Tallinn and that is the old town. I only had a few days here, so I got as much as I could out of one area. The old town is surrounded by a wall of about 4 squared kilometers. It is all easily walkable and there is some great shopping and foods as well as coffee houses to stop off in. In the middle of town, there is a Russian Orthodox church that is the epitome of Baltic. Inside makes for some great photographs, but there are times when you can and cannot take pictures. Start with the main gate to the town and walk straight to the village square. Follow the streets to your left and this takes you up on the bluffs (still walled in) where you get a view of the city and the sea.

Favourite spots:

In the north eastern part of the village square, there is a great little coffee shop with good pastries and a unique atmosphere. You almost feel like you are back in midevil England.

What's really great:

The open market. On the eastern side of the city, families from all over the country come to sell their good. You can buy handmade knitted sweaters, gloves, etc and lots of unique items.

Pictured here is just a city street. Has almost a Scandinavia feel to it.

Accommodations:
Not sure about this one.

Hangouts:
Goooooood pubs throughout the village.

Restaurants:
A few smaller ones.
