The advantage is you stay with others that can help you get orientated. The rooms are often furnished. They are offered at: http://www.wg-gesucht.de/wg-zimmer-in-Duesseldorf.30.0.1.0.html If you prefer to be alone, at that website there is also the option "1-Zimmer Wohnung" which is a large room which doubles up as a bedroom and lounge. There is usually a small bathroom (shower, basin & toilet) and a "Kochnische" (A corner with basin, refrigerator and hotplate) for cooking. Assuming you are flying in from Turkey, and if your German is not yet good enough, ask the Turkish Airlines www.thy.com office in Düsseldorf for advice.
