hello there: I am planning on spending 7 days in Toronto and would like to find some accommodation in a good and safe location. Although I am aware hostels are cheaper I would prefer to be in B&B or in a University residense.Any tips? Thank you. Mariela

I was pleased with the services of the accommodation help kiosk at Toronto's main train station. I suppose the airport (usually) has that service too. For preplanners, the hostel finder at GLOBO is great; a vast selection of budget accommodation. It shows prices and availability too: www.globosapiens.net/book-hostels.html Please also see member tips at: www.globosapiens.net/canada-travel/Ontario/Toronto.html Rudi

I can recommend you the the hostelfinder of www.travelmatenet.com They have tons of hostels and you can contact them directly, so that you don't pay extra reservation fees.. Have fun on your trip!
