Culture, in your part of the world?

I dont mean doing the 'tourist' stuff, but living and experiencing REAL culture... I would love to hear your thoughts - there are heaps of travellers on here. If you were giving advice to someone, what 'culture' that you have experience would you say is a MUST? I look forward to hearing back from you! --- Life is too short - live it!
