at my beginning on this site i assume that all pics where done by the publisher only. i had a lot of respect for this huge group of very good photographers. i thought some professionals, o.k. but the rest is for travel and holiday.
but the last times ...
the rating is sometimes out of order, too low or too high, depends on the person! and reports with cataloguepics. friendships that i guess the sixties are back. free grass.
i know here are some really great travellers with a famous view trough the lens and interesting journeys. all will be better nextdays i hope.
i checked my pics and must confess 3 pics are not taken by myself, but i was nearby. am i a bad guy?
anyway, i had to learn to ignore some comments and statements and take a look on proofed profiles.

Bertison, I truly believe that most of Globo's content, including pictures, is from actual members. I travel with my kids - we each have a camera and we share our photos (Canon SD630 or EOS is mine, Olympus Stylus is son or daughter) , so some of the ones I post may actually have been taken by my travel companion, but it still my experience on my trip so I view that as legit.
I share your frustration when canned photos are used in reports, making them a little "real". We can only assume that someone is so eager to share their experience about a place they hold special, that they took a few liberties. Here again though, I think most members are writing their own reports, based on personal experiences and with their own photos.
I too agree that some photos are over rated, though as time goes on those tend to drop and the same "classics" rise back to the top. People do form freindship here and I think that colors their prespective, but that's not all bad - friendships have their own value and none of us would really want to be so objective that we lose our value for people we care about.
My two pesos,
Eire
