Hi Globies
Could you recommend safe hostel in central Moscow, please...
Any experience? Private rooms, homestays?
Hostels.com offer dorm bed for 25 USD. Do not you think
it is too expensive?
Thanks
Wojtek

Have you try the Cosmos (or Kosmos) hotel in North of Moscow, next to it you have a statue dedicated to the USSR space conquest. (including the lovely Laika, the first dog in Space) Very esy reach from the metro, 2 minutes walk from the staion, very safe hotel. Take around 15 to 20 mins to Red square. Station is VDNKH. I have a photo of the hotel contact me if you want to see it. It was built for the Olympics in 1980.
If you have a room on the top you good views as well. (not really cheap but but good, standing is 3*+ or 4* sometimes it s good to treat yourself and the price for safety). You a market next to it, with little kiosks where you can buy food and drink.
If not the Ukrania, one of the "wedding cake" building in the centre, but old fashionned.
Hope that this will help you.
