I'm going to Mexico, Guatemala & Belize for the first two weeks of August. Does anyone know how busy it is at that time? I'm wondering how much I need to worry about making advance reservations for hotels/hostels. I'd like to stay flexible with the trip, but I also don't want to get caught without a place to sleep.

I'm pretty sure that is the wet season so you shouldn't have any problems, just maybe wet feet at some times.
