WHat is your main goal? Just to get from Singapore to Bangkok or do you want to see and experience something on the way? I have taken the bus from Singapore to KL a couple of times. It takes about 5 hours if I remember correct and it is a comfortable ride. From there I have taken the plane to Bangkok. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I thought it was not that bad at the time. In the fall of last year I flew from Krabi to Bangkok and the price for this ticket was about €70.
i want to meet with a friend from sing in bangkok. so the ticket should be for her and the trip should take not to long. i checked the flight prices and they are quite expensive (around 650 sgd).

Hi
If you wish to fly Thre are travel agents in SIN who sell round trip tickets for say 180 USD. There is a lot of competition on this route so sometimes it could be even cheaper. And sometimes round trip tickets are cheaper then one-way so
it pays to check RT price and to buy it even if you do not intend to use return leg..
Happy journey...

a round trip from singapore to thailand cost abt S$300 and sometimes inclusive of hotel stay as well. you can try to book one from www.planetraider.net
Yes definitely check the budget asia air carriers that were mentioned above. Train or bus is your next bet. Both long but reasonably cheap. Although, I think the train could be near $20 US which is close to the air ticket price.
