Hi Luke,

I can help you with cologne - ok, not really with cologne, but with a city only a half hour drive away (easy by train): Düsseldorf. If you stay for 3 days I would recomend you to go there for one day. I'm sure you will love it. For first informations you should read my report about Düsseldorf. If you need further help just send me an email. I also could try to help you in case of general questions about cologne. You can reach me until Sunday - after that I am on tour for 2 weeks.

Christian

That's a pretty tough schedule to do those cities in little time.
For Paris you certainly will have at least a one day guided tour. Otherwise
it takes a lot of efforts finding all the places by Metro. Walking is not encouraged because most places of interes are spread aroound the city in ong distance. You certainly will walk at least once the Champs Ellysee and see the Montmatre form where you have beautiful oversight of the city.
A good restaurant to go is the "Bouteillle d'Or" which is just on the rive gauche next to Notre Dame. Also the "Lapin Agile" is the oldes Cabaret of Paris you may like.
In Rome you have multiple choises but each will take a day just to browse through. The Vatican Museum, The Forum Romanum and the City itself will probably the best you can do in short time.
In Cologne you must see the Cathedral (close to the railway station) and the treasures wihin the cathedral are some of the most precious possesions of the church (such as the shrine of the thre magis).
You can take a boat on the river Rhine but that's very touristic... Cologne has a lot of museums such as the roman-german museum which is just opposite the Cathedral. So if you are going to Rome and Cologne you will see Roman history en detaill at both places.
Have a safe trip!
