I know I told various people that we were planning to go to Poland this April but plans havew changed and we're now booked for Madeira. There are now facilities in a Funchal hospital for coping with my defibrillater/cardioverter.
Some of that levada walking looks fabulous but I can no longer cope with steep or long ascents and, since heart problems in 1995, I avoid exposure - no probs if there's a rail!
Therefore I should welcome advice on any walks that combine scenic splendour with general ease and safety of movement. Please don't mock; I never expected to be seeking advice like this and you never know you won't need to one day.
