I do not understand this last intervention.
Of course, if you write a report about Libya is because you have been in Libya. If you post a picture about Kazan, is because you have taken that photo in Kazan.
The only extra thing is giving a stimulus of 1 point to the first member to send us a picture about that new place in Globo data, or some more points for the first report about Libya or any other country.
I just wanted to support Rudi preoccupation about this gap in Globo andf gave that idea.
If given these extra points for first reports/pictures, OK, if not given, OK too, no problem.
Take it easy Tashy, make another better proposition instead, to help Rudi, and let him to decide.
Just my two guilders

Jorge , you understand the aim of this motion very well and it is those that have travelled extensively that (as you say well) can make GLOBO complete, the "need" to "fill" the vast gaps that exist. It though to promote the GLOBOdatabank, not any "decision" of mine alone, we must help together.
We cannot expect much cheating but we can expect resistance from a few members who have not travelled much and loose the opportunity to report and upload as much material as others do. Those are usually the same members who dislike the rating system because there own quality is not always good. The same members do not log on for months at a time then wonder way they get left behind!
I think the points system is the best way to thank members for their contributions, specially extra points. MOST web communities use such a system. Otherwise: run a contest/competition without points! This might sound a bit too keen from someone that has gained so many points but I am getting very old very quickly and want to encourage the younger generation who can easily surpass the positions that David and I have set temporarily. One does not need to cheat to get points, one must simply spend more time with the community and contribute!
Staff: can we please have a list of countries, major cities, mountains, islands, etc that have no reports, pictures or destination guides?
