PADI or comparable diving certificate

At the moment I'm living in Holland and the sea-diving here isn't that interesting. Furthermore it is also expencive to get such a lisence here. I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas of a place where I can get my PADI (or comparable) during a vacation. Any other advice on getting my 'diver's lisence' is also appreciated. Thanx! I am on PADI as well, and its not better than the others... We stayed in Phukets "Kata Beach" wich is not to crowded. How much?
