hey backpacking-friends.
i have to tell you from my last holiday, because it was so amazing, and really cheap!!!
i ´m from paris, france and i traveled this summer to the big cities in europe. i was in berlin, lissboa, istanbul,barcelona and rome.
but before i started i registered me in a social travel community (travelinlove.com), there i found cool people from this cities (barcelona,rome,berlin,...) which agreed to show me their cities, and to organize a overnight accommodation for me. mostly i slept on the couch or @ a friends place.
all this people were soo amazing. in every city i had a really nice, private tourguide! :)
and they showed me everything, not just the typical touristic stuff, also the coolest clubs, and hottest tips which only know the natives.
next year i want to do the same in the USA!!!
is there travelinlove also so famous like in europe, or are there other communitys.
i´m gratefull for every answer.

I have learned that by traveling with a partner one learns much more about a person than most at home or in a community. I recommend that ALL couples travel 2-4 weeks together FIRST before getting married. I have just got happily divorced without complications other than temporary financial bankruptcy but my next partner must be a traveler and travel a similar way than I do, without makeup and high heels (usually) and sometimes "camp-out", love to fly and ride roller coasters, hug apes and snakes and not be scared of insects, boats, tunnels or cable ways, be willing to learn to swim and snorkel, perhaps even scuba dive!
