It occured to me just now that I would love to see members doing detailed travel reports not just about cities, but about more general, non-city-specific subjects, such as packing strategies, taking great travel photos, staying healthy on the road, how to make friends & connect with local people, common scams & rip-offs and how to avoid them, etc.
I realize many of these topics can be addressed in forums, but I think it would be useful for there to be a repository for thoughtful, detailed discourse (like the city reports) focused on these types of travel topics. I am so impressed with the level of skills and experience so many who participate here, and I am eager to learn from you!
What do you all think? Is such a thing possible? Do you think it would be valuable to the community at large?

thats a great idea. There are some earlier ideas on publishing reports in free form, or publishing on national parks etc.
I will keep this in my mind and try to find a nice way to do this. It can't be done by tomorrow, but might be implemented in GLOBO version 2 (comming up at the end of the year)
Feel free to continue this discussion, I will definatelly have an "eye" on it :-)

[/quote]

Bad idea! There are enough websites for those things. I was happy to find GLOBOSAPIENS as a place where I can sort my experiences geographically. Also, the forum offers endless opputunities (wish members whould use it more) for thoughts, travel preperation and most important - travel tips.
