Been looking around Singapore and it seems that it isn't the best place for a 25 year old traveller. Any places that have good nightlife that aren't five pounds for a bottle of beer? I'll be in Hog Kong in a couple of days as well, so the same question for there as well. I'm basically looking for a place to have a decen drink with friends that is open late with decent prices.
guess u have not looked hard enough. there are many places where you can go in sinagpore. perhaps you should try the pubs at far east square (ie carnegies / coolies / kazbar ), or at emerald hill (ie ice cold beer / alley bar / no. 5), or at chijmes (father flanagan / jump / ocho), or at muddy murphy's (orchard hotel), or at clarke quay (brewerkz / crazy elephant / cafe iguana).
Singapore is really a great place to travel. But even Singaporeans complaint about the high price. I recommend, if you want nightlife, come to Shanghai. Colorful and late.
I will say, the nightlife in Hongkong is the best, various bars in Lan Kwai Fong, and reasonable price for every drink I reckon, (well, it depends...) Post 97, C club, cixi are all the choice to go...
Not too sure about Singapore, as only there for a short time on a business trip, didn't really spend time for clubbing, just was told drinks were fairly expensive.
