Hi Marcel,

you can decrease photos with most of the picture-software like ACDsee.

If you have Windows XP, you can select the photos and use the right mouse button and click on

copy to

then to e-mail and then you can select 4 options (original size and 3 other sizes)

And then it goes automatic.

You can select many photos at once and they all are coming as an attachment in a mail message and from there you copy them to the local disk.

Cheers

Alain

Hi GLOBO's

Just some more information about picture size:

Try to post pictures which are 600 pixel wide. This is the premium Member picture size.

If you have a bigger sized picture reduce it in size before posting it and enhance the sharpnes, there should be a automated function to help you do it.

Because when you reduce the picture in size it looses focus.

It also looses focus when GLOBOsapiens reduces the size automatically. So you better do it yourself.

Feeling like a techy idiot!!

Trying to upload more of my pictures from the same source that i have used previously.I have not gone digital yet but have my pictures transferred to disc when they are processed. However, it now either states they are over 500KB or they are not 600 pixels.

It's a mystery to me!

Any advice as i would like to share more pictures.

Hi

There is a new version of the image upload routine in work now. With the old one there were some problems with wrong picture sizes.

Now you can only upload images that are under 500 kb and wider that 600 pixel.

You need to open your pictures in a image editor and resize your pictures accordingly to the settings.

Generally speaking

- a smaller image creates a smaller file size

- less resolution creates a smaller file size

If you state what programm you use we can probably help you with more details.
