Hi There

Here I would like to post some links to useful technical informations about cameras and settings:

AV aperture value / F-stop

TV time value
The amount of time that the shutter stays open

iso setting:
The setting of the sensitivity of your "film" it has to do with noise and also is important for the time value.

Thanks Martin, that helps. We often need these terms when discussing how a picture is taken and commenting on a picture in the GLOBOgallery. For film photography we use the term "shutter speed", never heard of "TV = Time Value" before but times and jargon do change a lot! :-)

I upgraded my digital camera a bit, gave the old one to my niece, now have to start from scratch learning all the new menus, symbols, settings and buttons. I'm very impatient with handbooks but suppose I'll get into using the thing properly after about a year! Further, I have "bricklayer hands" and those buttons are getting smaller : - ( RR
