Last year,I visited China, and want to share my experience to you hoping it is useful for other travelers. The language barrier is a problem, you can choose the Chinese-phone-interpretation service。This service can provide you with an interpreter via telephone and the service people will help you to communicate with anybody in Chinese. Many travel agents provide this service. It is very efficious .I have use its service many times. In China, the most important thing to do is to know how to use Chinese currency. Chinese currency is called Renminbi (people's money), often abbreviated as RMB. It is issued by The Bank of China and is the sole legal tender within the People's Republic of China. The symbol for RMB is ¥. The unit of Renminbi is a yuan and with smaller denominations called jiao and fen. The conversion among the three is: 1 yuan = 10 jiao =100 fen.Hope my tips are helpful to you!
