We plan to go to Switzerland and stay in the Alps in a genuine Swiss chalet. Who can share some experiance. We look for a wooden true chalet (medium priced). In wikipedia we have found http://www.white-peak.com and http://www.swiss-accounts.org/swiss-chalet , but those sites are not really informative. Thanks.

Several years ago we used this agency to book a chalet in Cran sur Sierre, which is on the sunny side of the Alps. They book chalets: http://www.agence-cristal.com/UK-site.htm
Cran sur Sierre and Cran-Montana are both very well known resorts for golf and skiing.
Good Luck!

--- Life is not measured by the breaths you take but by the moments that take your breath away.
Most swiss resorts do have their own site on the net and there you can always book hotels, appartements or chalets. These people really know what they sell and can give you sound advice.

The most chalets are in the Wallis. The region in the south-west. you will find easy some address if you contact the website: www.valaistourisme.ch, e-mail: info@valaistourism.ch or call 027 327 35 70.
The other region is the berner oberland. The region where you find the Jungfraujoch and Interlaken. You can contact Berner Oberland Tourisme on phone-number 033 823 03 03 or send e-mail to stefan.ott@interlakentourism.ch
I hope I could help you.
