GLOBOcarnival 356 days a year because we get the pictures any time from various locations and cultures. Call it fiesta or fashing, all creeds love and do it! In Cologne, Germany carnival starts as soon as 11th Nov at 11am. There and in the christian world carneval ends on Ash Wednesday and is the start of long (like Ramadan) period of fasting. In the old days when most people were engaged in harvest, end of winter was the time to "let the sau out" and prepare for spring and new harvests later in the year.....
