We dont need a restriction on the Title length but long titles (specially in the Forum) loose some attention. The real subject is not always clear in the overview or updates. Most of us realised this but even the staff/moderators should keep it in mind! We should aviod long titles or at least make sure that the real subject is within the first few words...

Hi Rudi
I'm the poster of :
You want to upload a picture about a p... >> Places not in the System when uploading pictures .
I agree that for a lot of sujects the titles are quite long, on the other hand when I'm browsing through the forum and I get a long title I get a good impression about the content of the post.
Your suggested title does not suggest that the solution is included in the post.
Anyway I'll try to write shorter titles.
I just hope to be of help when posting soultions to the FAQ and I think that when I write it as a question that the member is thinking about it will be quite easier to find.
I'd like to invite all Members to post such tips and tricks, that you found out by experience, to the FAQ forum!!!!!
Martin

Yes Rudi,I do agree with you, that the topic annauncement has to be as short as possible;-some people including me, get confussed over the long topics with many words in it. Great thinking.
