Hello! I'm in need of a travel companion - I have been itching to get to Mexico this summer, and my first travel buddy dropped our plans, so here I am!
I'm looking for someone with a flexible schedule, an open mind, a level head and an interest in traveling to experience and learn!
I usually like to stay in hostels, if possible I would like to camp as well.
Please contact me with information about yourself, and any questions you have for me!
Hey there, I'm a 19 year old college student who has 2 years of Spanish courses complete, I've really been achin to get to Mexico as well! Too bad I didn't read your post earlier, I was also looking to go to Mexico this summer and wanted to find a companion, but work got in the way. Anyway I'm open to go anytime from Nov 15 to Dec 20. I'd like to hear from you my email is los_vamos77@hotmail.com. By the way, someone elso is also teaming up with me so if you are interested there could be 3 of us meeting up. Definetly save on travel expences! Nothing is set in stone, but we would like to start making reservations in late October. We're looking at anywhere in Mexico, primaraly a city off the west coast.
I'm sorry I didn't reply to you earlier! I was traveling in...........SPAIN!! (which is by far my favorite country now)
If you are still interested in the backpacking trip in December, let me know.
I'd also kind of curious about you - do you live in Spain now? I got back from Madrid a week ago; I also traveled to a small town outside of Soria and to Cadiz. So beautiful! I can't wait to go back!
Thanks for responding to my post, and I hope to hear from you soon.
hey there just came back from Mexico, it was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too hot!!! like 38 and 95humidity... never met one person who was enjoying the weather!
just so you know, the yucatan penninsula is very expensive...that is where Chitzen Itza is. I think this is because of Cancun, Tulum, Playa del Carmen and the Riveria Maya is in the area.
A lot of the things they were selling could be bought less expensive in Canada than there!! except however for hammocks, they were a reasonable price.
buses are cheap. and transportation is good. From other packers I met along the way, they said the West is cheaper around St. christopher and area
I will definitly go back again some day,
I went to Valladolida (used that as a base) slept in the hostel (very good place) went to chitzen itaz, a few Ceynotes, then to Holbox (an island where I swam with the whale sharks,.and finished off with Tulum where I stayed one night in a cabana on the beach and then the last in a nice air conditioned hotel. I probably would have ran around a bit more but it was too hot for my liking..
I live in a northen town,Lleida, one our to the snowy mountains and one our to the beach :P
Northen Spain is slightly different from the South, the vegetation, it's people, wealthy...I must say ppl from the south tend to be much more cool and kind than us jeje.
Well, i'm still interested in backpacking arround Mexico, i'm free from 5th December and I'd like to be back before New Year's Eve (u know,friends,family...).
I got some ideas of what I want to visit in Mexico, in general terms, some places in the north some in the south :P
WhAt ElSe...oh!!!In Mexico they got those big moskitos, one bit can kill u,haha ain't they luvly? :-D And some other illnes, but nothing to fear of with a bit of prevention...
well, that's all, hope u answer!!!!
TO TA-SHY! I luve Canada, i've been there and i just can't wait to come back jaja :P
