Wow Andy! Big changes for the "Guides" section today! I like your choice of "Travel Tips" as the new name, and I think the new layout is improved... you've also changed the 1, 2, or 3 thumbs up to a 1-5 star system, giving us a broader range within to recommend things. Of course that means I now have to go back and adjust those ratings to reflect my true feelings about some of the things I am most enthusiastic about!
While you're making changes, might I suggest adding a new category, called "Sights"? You could use a little drawing of an eye as the icon (by the way, I like the icons!). Right now I am putting some things in the "Secret Spots" category that aren't exactly secret, but that I really want to recommend, and a category like Sights would be more accurate. Thanks also for adding the much needed "Museums" category!
I'm noticing several things (like editing tools and sorting) are not working properly with Travel Tips right now, but I'm sure you'll iron it out. Thanks for making this an even more useful tool!

The travel tips look good. But how do I access them I can only find my own travel tips. But I am looking for a hotel in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Do you also allow us more space to write? That way we can describe the tips in a more accurate way and we need not be so vague.

until now the travel tips are only inside the member profiles. Those hidden gems will be included into the main menu anywhere this year. It's too much work to be done at once.
I have worked on the travel guide section today and it is now possible to submit up to 1000 characters as a description. You can even edit your existing guides and add more text to it. The phone number is now not required anymore.
That's good 1000 characters. And I am so happy to be rid of the compulsory tel numbers. I speak for myself when I say that I don't need them: i never phone in advance. I may use their email or just turn up.
I'll update my entries, but I'm quite busy at the moment. Lots of exams to mark at the end of ther year.
