As every guide offer their own & different itineraries... I'd like to hear YOUR proposals of three/four most interesting walking itineraries of Venice including views of the city, palaces/monuments/art and museums as well as bridges and forgotten little corners.

unfortunatelly, I've been in Venice twice, but only for few hours and I can not help you with some information about museums,cause I haven't been in any:((but I can tell you that the most beautiful part of my experience there was to get lost in the little streets between San Marko and the bridge Rialto. And that is my advise - just get lost and you will find so interesting things which you could never find if you are lokking for them.
And of course you should see all the famous places, but I suppose you already have enough information:)
I completely agree with Petia, Venice is not a destination it is an experience. The city is best enjoyed just wondering around so that you happen upon a treasure. Enjoying a cup coffee in a street cafe, or wondering through the labyrinth of shops.
But the big tourist things are: San Marco Square with the Basilica, the bell tower, and the Doges Palace; the Grand canal with the Santa Maria Della Salute, Rialto Bridge, Peggy Guggenheim Museum; the Bridge of Sighs,etc. that should keep you busy...

You can download Google Eath placemarkers for tons of sights in Venice from exploreglobe.net/italy.htm and kind of explore the city online before you go. Then it's like you know your way around.

well i never been to this wonderful place but I fully agree with Misty that one should walk around to get the real feel of the city and its life.
