this morning Mozilla has released its firefox webbrowser in version 1.0! I can highly recommend this browser as it is a lot faster then Microsofts Internet Explorer, it is much more secure and it offers lots of nice features which explorer does not.
good to hear that. Monocultures are not only bad in real live, but also on the internet. About 95 % of surfers are looking at the internet with Microsoft Explorer. That is not only a potential security risk, but furthermore like driving one of the oldest cars just because someone (micros.) has put it into your garage. Firefox has far more features, it is at least 3 times that fast (you can load some pages and you think they are on your hard drive) and last but not least it is more comfortable.
Microsoft has just such a high market share on Explorer, since most of the users are to lazy to install a new one. Despite the fact that firefox is free software. However.. it looks like more and more users are getting aware of this.
Lets take back the web and see it from other "windows" than explorer :-)
