I am looking for a list of the best places to visit in the world for adventure. Any ideas?

Retired? or Aged over 40? Looking for the perfect traveling companions?

Hi Dawson,

Two general travelling suggestion lists are the "wonders of the world" and the "UNESCO Heritage Sites". We discuss these at:

www.globosapiens.net/topic-seven-wonders-of-the-world_36_2200_0000.html

and

www.globosapiens.net/topic-places-to-go-to_36_2448_0000.html

If you are looking for pure (and extreme) adventure where few travellers have ever been, see the contributions by GLOBOmembers Jorge, Wojtek and some others:

www.globosapiens.net/jorgesanchez

www.globosapiens.net/wojtekd

For unusual (even weird) places I quite like the list of ideas at the website

Good health and high spirits!

New Zealand seems to be the adventure capital of the world for extreme things to do.

One of the most spectacular places that I've been to was the Grand Canyon. Also tracking the Inca Trail in Peru or trekking the Himalayas is incredible.

Queenstown for adrenaline sports alike bungy jumping or white water rafting or parachuting.

I quite like the idea of cycling Vietnam. But it really depends on what you like doing in general when travelling.
