Hi Globies!
Most low-cost airlines land in Frankfurt-Hahn airport. I plan to come at midnight. Where to sleep there before departing onward in the morning?
I'll appreciate your suggestions.

good health and high spirits!
So where are you off to this time, I read with growing envy your last trip..My feet are getting too itchy now, the States trip just didn't cut it for me.
in regards to your post, what info are you looking for specifically? is this the type of info your looking for?
1. Departure area is better normally and safer than the check in area. So if you go beyond the customs are area and in the areas to wait for the plane to leave this is better. The problem with this is you normally need a boarding pass.
2. Carpet floors are better as tile or concrete floors will transfer the heat from your body faster and make you cold.
3. Do not sleep near any common walk way as this brings you to the attention of security.
4. Do not ask permission normally because the answer will probably be no.
Or do you need more info ie: go to gate so and so turn left, down the hall behind the big plant in the corner..

Thanks a lot...
Tashi - for the general advice - I agree with you valuable suggestions, but
I asked the sdvice related to specific airport...
Christian - for your links. Do you think I am ready to pay 61 euro for staying from 1 am to 6 am in the hotel?. I am paying only 15 euro for my flight to Frankfurt including taxes (!). Welcome to my travel log to see what standard I usually travel...
In the meantime I found interesting link I can recommend: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/europe/frankfurt_hahn.htm Greetings to both of you...

You're in luck - Frankfurt is the best airport in the world to sleep in!
They have these black leather recliners that you can go to sleep in even in the middle of the afternoon when you're not really tired, total bliss! They're scattered around the airport, often in quiet corners, sometimes hard to find, but keep looking till you come across them.
Only slight concern would be being pickpocketed while in fabulous slumber, and although I've been through Frankfurt lots of times on business I never had cause to root out left luggage lockers so I'm afraid I can't be of any help on this front.

You can also try one of my favorite sites: The Budget Traveller's Guide to Sleeping in Airports. They have a page devoted to Frankfurt-Hahn here: http://www.sleepinginairports.net/europe/frankfurt_hahn.htm
It looks like it could be a pretty challenging night -- be prepared! And let us know how it turns out.
Happy travels!
