This was a wonderful trip - the people are less accustomed to tourism than they were in Kenya, and the sights are as beautiful. The accomodations are government owned so they are clean
Favourite spots:
Ngorongoro Crater - what a site. the crater base is 5,000ft, the rim is 7,000. There is Spanish Moss on all the trees outside the rim.
What's really great:
The animials are beautiful. There is a black rhino in the crater and cheetas in the Segengetti
Sights:
the big 5, Kilimenjaro
Accommodations:
government owned - you may have to tip the attendant to light the pilot for the water heater
Nightlife:
on safari - there are none
Hangouts:
same as clubs
Restaurants:
the lodges feed you well, and you can sample local game: topi, gazelle, wildebeast
Would love to have more information on logistics: what tour operator did you go with, costs, etc... and how about some photos? What an amazing trip it must have been!
