I call Atlanta my home so I guess I know a bit about it. A lot of travelers come here for the MLK historical sites. Along Auburn Ave are some of these places. The Royal Peacock has live music and can be found also on Auburn Ave. The Coke Cola museum, High Museum of Art, Margaret Mitchell's home, Underground Atlanta, Atlanta Zoo and Piedmont Park are some places to visit. For nightlife: Live Bands try The Earl in E Atl, Echo Lounge-E Atl, Star Bar-Little5 Pts. Eating: The Earl, RuSans sushi, Little Bangkok, Penang on Buford Hwy, Sunset (Soul food on Glenwood Ave), Waffle House Majestic on Ponce de Leon Blvd is open 24 hours. Yes, the Marta train goes from the airport to the general downtown area of Atlanta. Cheaper than a cab!

Favourite spots:
Starlight Drive In on Moreland Ave is SE Atl. Salvation Army Thrift store on Glenwood Ave. The Earl

What's really great:
Atlanta is a good town with good folk. Great food can be had here at not much of a cost. Think I will stay around a while.

Sights:
Stone Mtn Park
Coca Cola Museum
High Museum of Art
Atlanta Zoo
Fernbank Science Center
Oakland Cemetry
Margaret Mitchell home
MLK sites

Nightlife:
The Earl...Flat Shoals Rd, East Atlanta
Echo Lounge...Flat Shoals Rd, East Atlanta
Star Bar...Moreland Ave, atlanta

Restaurants:
The Earl
RuSans...Piedmont Ave
Sunset Restaurant...Glenwood Ave
Hodges BBQ...Candler Rd
Daddy Ds BBQ...Memorial Dr, Atlanta
Anywhere on Buford Hwy

Other recommendations:
A few hours north of Atlanta lie beautiful mountains and towns. Lots of outdoor type activities to be found. About 30 minutes outside of Atl is Six Flags Over GA. Amusement park with lots of coasters.
