Hi, I bought a condo on the beach in Cha-am and lived there for a year. The development is called Baan Talay Samran and it is just a little outside the town.
Baan Talay Samran
Cha-am is a Thai resort and becomes packed at the weekends with people coming from Bangkok. During the week it is quiet. THere is little nighlife and it is more family oriented. A huge number of Scandanavians visit Cha-am!
Favourite spots:
Down by the pier - for seafood restaurants. Crawfords for Irish grub and craic! Pink Flamingo for pool and sports on ig screen!
What's really great:
Quiet and relaxing. An escape! THere is a nice Spa on the beach road - Lamoon. Excellent and well trained staff!
Accommodations:
Baan Talay Samran.
Nice villas and condos on the beach. Check out www.geroreilly.com for more details.
Nice swimming pool, spa and sauna.
Quiet location!
Restaurants:
Many THai restaurants down near the pier for seafood.
