Kastraki is a small town with little interest. The reasons that it attract so much tourists are the Monasteries of Meteora. The Monasteries are build more then 700 years ago on top of big rocks with a vertical drop on each side. Build without the aid of modern machinery makes it even more fascinating. Nice loop drives can be made to see the different monasteries.

Can't name one. The drive up the mountain has different points of view of the monasteries. I personally like the ones that you have to look up to them.
What's really great:
Special interest was there for the former prison cave! Monks that broke rules were put there with nothing else then water and bread. Escape from this prison was impossible because of the cheer drop of more than 50 meters...
