Sure, its brash, flashy and way over the top but everyone should visit Las Vegas once in their lives!
Where else could you go and visit at least half a dozen icons from countries all around the world? Come to Las Vegas and visit New York, Paris or Egypt.
No problem it is all here fuelled by a gambling fever that you would never see anywhere else.

My personal favourites would have to be New York, New York. This is a made to scale replica of this famous city right down to graffiti on the bins. Luxor, an Egyptian pyramid, of course with it's huge beam of light reaching into the sky.

This is just like being in a huge theme park where the newer hotels keep trying to out do the existing ones.

| Sights: |
Besides the before mentioned casinos I also thought that Treasure Island with is nightly buccaneer fight climaxing with the sinking of the pirate ship at the front was pretty cool.

| Accommodations: |
We stayed at Aladdin for two reasons. It is reasonably priced and close enough to the main centre of the strip.
The rooms are comfortable if nothing outstanding.

| Nightlife: |
There is nearly always someone famous performing if your hip pockets are deep enough. But for a night of great fun with the crowd getting involved I would recommend the show at Excalibar. Picture this; a huge arena divided into eight sections plus eight knights on horseback with their long jousts charging full speed at each other with each section screaming and stamping for their chosen knight. The atmosphere is amazing.

Exchange a fairly substantial amount of cash for gambling chips and the chances are you will find you are offered free drinks, meals etc in most of the casinos.

| Other recommendations: |
Don't miss the rollercoaster Manhattan Express at New York, New York, I love rollercoasters and this was the ultimate. But boy, was this one scary.
203 feet (68 metres) high, drops of 144 feet (48 metres) and up to 67 mph(110km)of speed. It rolls 180 degrees, hangs up in the air then dives back under itself.
Awesome!
