My brother and his fiance got engaged whilst skiing in Bulgaria. They flew their butts home in June/July for some family time - and a weekend of celebrating their upcoming marriage.
As her family lives around the Rotorua area (and there is lots to do here), we thought we would take some time to not only eat and drink but experience all the fun that Rotorua has to offer.
Favourite spots:
Taking one of the Luges down the hill, relaxing (and having a quiet glass of bubbly in the Polynesian Hot Pools, rolling down the hill in a water filled Zorb, playing a civilised 18 holes of Golf
What's really great:
That not only was this a fun and adventurous weekend but it had a purpose as well. And honestly, I cant think of a better way to celebrate my brothers engagement!
Sights:
Take the cable car up the hill that the Luge runs down - even if you are not game enough to get on the Luge buggies.
