Perhaps, I should not denote Singapore is one of the places that I have traveled to as it is a country where I have lived in and worked at for about 8 years.
Singapore is rather small and only with a population of 4.5 millions; yet metropolis and systematic, it can be considered as a developed country in the context of Asia region after Japan. Well, of course, China is picking up...but I am not going into that aspect here.
Favourite spots:
I do not have a particular spot that I like the most. To my knowledge, there are many famous tourist attractions in Singapore, namely Sentosa Island, Chinatown, Little India, Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay and so forth. Few mega shopping malls line up the street of Orchard Road. If you like to shop until you drop, Orchard Road is the best choice, things are pretty pricey though.
What's really great:
I personally feel that public transportation is Singapore is the best. It is so convenient, buses and MRT stations are all around, with a E-Link card ( it serves as a stored value ticket for use in the public transport systems) you can go to many places. Also, you do not have take a cab unless you really do not have an idea where the place is, but cab fare is charged reasonably.
Accommodations:
1.) Local foods at the hawker centers
2.) The stunning tropical beach and ocean in Sentosa Island
