In a beautiful town on the coast of Namibia, I tasted a delicious pizza called The Danish Special served at the take away and restaurant called Pizza Box
I've lived in Namibia and travelled there extensively. Most of all, I enjoyed the quaint town of Swakopmund. There's a lot to do there and the people are friendly. The beaches are lovely - and ... I found a good pizzeria called Pizza Box and that (surprise, surprise) is what my report is about!
Favourite spots:
Pizza Box - the best pizza in town!!! It's easy to find. It lies right between the Swakopmund laundry and the Bungalows (holiday houses each shaped like an A). Everyone knows where to find the laundry and the bungalows so you will not have a problem to find your way to Pizza Box. I found their website on the Internet: www.pizzabox.biz
What's really great:
They serve pizza and other food like delicious steaks. In front it looks like a take-away, but just ask the staff and they'll take you to the back where there is a restaurant decorated with African paintings and wood craft. In the restaurant you can buy pizza, steaks and seafood. We also visited the restaurant in the morning and we were served a big, very delicious breakfast. The owner and his staff are warm and friendly! And for the Danes - try the excellent pizza Danish Special! Rigtig laekker!
