I just bought and fixed up a Chinese Jeep and plan to rough it around China from mid-September to mid-december. I speak some chinese, and really want to travel way off the tourist circuit for most of the trip. My current plan is to travel s-l-o-w-l-y around these places: Guangxi, hunan, hubei, henan, hebei, liaoning, jilin, heilongjian, inner mongolia, gansu, xinjiang, qunghai, sichuan and yunnan. I just found this site and joined the global group... I grew up in Beijing, actually lived in San Francisco for 6 years. I'm going back in a few weeks to visit my folks. Just wondering how you liked your trip. Still speaking the Chinese?
