I am going mainly to trek kilimanjaro, but would also like to see other areas as well. I will be travelling on a tight budget, so if anyone would like to come along let me know. Also, if anyone has hiked kilimanjaro, I would really like some advice on guides, thanks. I have been yesterday and today lloking for the best prices and options to trek the Kilimanjaro. There are several companies here and a lot of pushing people in the streets driving you mad all the time. There's 2 routes to go up there, Machame (6 days/5Nights) or Marangu (6days/5nights or 5days/4nights). It was like 640 - 650 and 550 respectivetly. But with a rented material cause I had the excellent idea of not to take my boots and tent to Africa. (Dumb!) Without renting you can do it cheaper like 490$ for the Marangu 5days/4nights. Plus tips and extras expect to pay like 100 usd$ per day in any of the routes. Hope it help. Dani Serralta. Actually in Moshi. PS: I will not do it.
